Andrew McCormack receives 5* review from BBC Music Magazine
Turaco Artist Andrew McCormack has received a rave review from the highly respected BBC Music magazine in the most recent issue. The album, featuring his NYC trio has been very well received by the media accross the board. The BBC Music review by Barry Washerden gave 'First Light' 5*s for both performance and recording. Of the album, Washerden wrote:
"The considerable degree of balance, and integration of melody, harmony and rhythm, of composition and improvisation, of exploration, individuality and tradition is impressively maintained throughout."
McCormack will tour 'First Light' with his Trio of Sam Lasserson and Chris Higgenbottom, plus special guest Mark Lockheart. The group will play 13 UK dates in March and April 2015. Further information is available from the the artist website and social media.
